During the COVID-19 pandemic, a huge amount of scientific literature was produced and disseminated on a daily basis. While this showed the great effort being poured into bringing the crisis to an end, it made it incredibly difficult for politicians as well as the general public to stay up to date with developments. This issue was compounded by the often inaccessible nature of scientific writing.

In order to aid Labour politicians in their ability to stay up to date with this rapidly changing landscape, SfL produced daily briefing documents as well as longer reports focused on specific areas of the science. The aim of the daily reports was to summarise the developments in the literature from the previous day, while the longer reports were deeper dives into more specific topics.
